recent reviews:

Global beats master Nickodemus takes New York’s melting pot to his funky, dub, hip-hop Afrobeat-Brazilian rooftop barbecue and serves all dancers who attend.
-XLR8R magazine's Top Ten Album Picks-

With Turntables on the Hudson seven years strong, pioneering Brooklynite Nickodemus drops his first solo effort. Comprising over a decade of international influence touching the Balkans, Africa, Latin America, Arabia, Jamaica and more. Endangered Species is a soulful collection of bouncing vocals and melodies embedded in serious grooves. Malik from Real Live Show, Radio Mundial's Jean Shepherd and Si*Se's Carol C add verbal dynamite, while a cornucopia of global instrumentation call NYC home. The clear and present winner, however, is the clarinet/melodica-driven "Crazy Stranger," as watery and flowing as the riverside now known by Nicko's own name.
-Derek Beres - Global Beat Fusion / Globesonic

This is not only a hard-hitting uptempo dance track, it's really deep and immaculately arranged with epic peaks and valleys. I see this song having a long life & becoming a classic for lofts and late night peaktimes (you know, that *second* peaktime when the really deep stuff hits the hardest). A true nomadic classic! A sureshot gypsy bomb!
-DJ Busquelo - writing about the track "Crazy Stranger"

Endangered Species is a great mixture of superb live music and dope beats... great vocals as well... and the message can definately not be misunderstood!!!
-Tom Strauch - Switchstance Recordings, Germany

There aren't many geezers making such positive music,
so it's a joy to hear music like this.
